Burleigh Hall was a country house situated near Loughborough in the county of Leicestershire. Its land now forms part of the campus of Loughborough University. During the March 1644 Battle of Cotes Bridge in the Civil War, Parliamentary forces chased Royalists back to their garrison at Burleigh House. Following the demolition of the main house, there are a few remnants of the estate which can be seen around the University campus today. These include Cedar of Lebanon tree believed to be between 250-300 years old and Gardeners Cottage.
