Governing Body

Hamilton College is a Local Authority Maintained school.

Interim Executive Board

As a consequence of the Ofsted inspection of October 2016, an Interim Executive Board (IEB) has been established by the Local Authority to replace the previous governing body. The Local Authority believes that a smaller, focused IEB, with the appropriate skills, is necessary to address the challenges at the school swiftly and to secure the changes needed.

The IEB convened for the first time on Friday 3rd March 2017, meeting with Jackie Gair (Interim Principal), Jason Cumming (Interim Associate Principal) and Melanie Gaiderman (Local Authority Adviser). The IEB will meet every two or three weeks until July 2017 and will focus on progress against the post-Ofsted action plan. The IEB members are linked to the four key areas in the action plan plus Finance and Business so that each member can monitor in detail their link area and report back to the whole IEB.
